Megacity Review Bi-Weekly Poetry & Prose Contest
Megacity Review invites submissions for our bi-weekly contest in poetry and prose—both fiction and nonfiction—exploring the urban condition in all its forms. Weekly cash prizes of $20 and a Grand Prize of $1,000 are on the table. And we keep guidelines light so your voice and vision can lead.

Eligibility: Works must be unpublished at the time of submission. Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but please notify us immediately if your work is accepted for publication elsewhere.

Length: Poetry (up to 3 poems, 6 pages total); Prose (up to 3,000 words)

Honorarium: We anticipate paying up to $20 per published entry for weekly winners, along with online publication in Megacity Review.

Grand Prize: At the culmination of the contest, all bi-weekly winners will be judged for up to $1,000 in stipends, awarded across all categories. The stipend requires the creation of a new, original work for the event presentation.
Rights & Conditions

By submitting, you grant Megacity Review first serial rights for online publication. All rights revert to the author after publication.

Accepted works will remain archived on the Megacity Review website and may be included in future online features, with additional compensation if applicable.

Entries will be considered for online publication for up to one year from the date of submission.

No previously published work will be considered. “Published” includes print, online, social media, and self-published editions.

Plagiarism, AI-generated content without disclosure, or defamatory material will result in disqualification.
